Lay Pastor Ministries Overview

The Pennsylvania Conference understands the need to train and equip strong spiritual leaders for our churches and ministry efforts. There is a rich variety of spiritual gifts found within the laity of our churches that when trained and supported can provide strong pastoral leadership for our local churches.

Lay Pastor training Overview
The training program is a ten-month course to provide a curriculum of spiritual, biblical and practical training that will enable candidates to follow the Lord’s call to ministry. Training will include monthly in person three-hour sessions (led by seasoned pastors and ministry leaders within the conference) and weekly pastor led local church ministry assignments.
